On the planet Elidi, the young military school of Chikamuyo Academy specializes in teaching the control of planet-energy called eisra. With this prestige, it has attracted a number of talented, yet unusual, students and staff. The senior class is preparing to graduate and join the military when tragedy strikes, pressing them into service earlier than they had planned.
Meanwhile, the Council of Elidi is being pressured to get involved in interplanetary war, but is hesitant to disrupt its peaceful ways. Temples to the goddess have been disappearing around the world, along with her servants who inhabit them. A mysterious power has been manipulating individuals and causing destruction at their hands. No one is sure if these events can be connected, but if these dangers continue the goddess may need to call upon her guardians to protect Elidi once more.
